I'm working on a rebuild of a T-Q for my 318. My best looking carb. is a 9058 which appears to be off a 1976 440. It has the idle enrichment diaphragm on the air horn. Wondering if the air horn from an older model will interchange. I'm assuming probably not as I can see a few differences in both the bowl and the air horn between the 9058 and a 6319 that I also have. Unfortunately the 6319 is very grungy and the 9058 is pretty clean. If the horns won't interchange, is the idle enrichment something that I should try to use? It appears that if capped, the carb will behave like an older model. It also looks like that if I want to use it, that it would be plumbed into the coolant temperature switch that is in the top passenger side of radiator and then to manifold vacuum? I'm not running egr, but I do intend to make the carbon canister setup functional again. Thanks for any help.
