1)
I used to see remote trunk latches on I think M bodies and other cars from that era.
I even pulled a few for others use.
So wonder what best cars to look for them on? I always just ran across them at yards.but seem to have dried up.
Seen a few pop up here in the sale ads. So have to ask what cars were they on? That way I can do a better search

2) I have had the wrong Dodge decals on my quarters since late 2004.
My wife liked the look so ordered them along with over the roof stripes and hood cowl blackout.
But was sent wrong ones. Think they were truck ones.
Would you pull them after that long or continue to live with It?
What they should look like

Fifth Avenues, Diplomats and big junk like that. They pop up on ebay from time to time....and here too, but they are usually for sale from golddiggers.

any of the "cop car-esque" dippy, grand fury, 5ths along with the floaty barges of the time: 'dobas, magnums, monacos.

caprice classics that were cop spec or taxis have 'em as well along with crown vics so there's another avenue to explore.

sometimes change is good. if you don't like it you can always change it back.

That's what I thought, all the carsI was getting steel wheels off of for guys who wanted that look.
I should have kept one of the trunk release for my self, but I had had my stock one replated so never.
I may be a cheap old SOB.
Like stated above gold diggers. I like to pay fair prices, and even give extra $ at times when I think the person is not asking enough, but seems as of late prices are just plain high.

I still see a 5th Ave at a u pull every couple of years.

I've never seen one without a remote trunk release.

...and three 15x7 steel wheels.

...and a sanden compressor with small block bracket.

...and cruise control.

...and an A body width 8.25 axle.

some of those came with 7.25's...

also, FMJ's are 54.34" flange to flange and springs are 44.46, with the A's being 51.5~52.62" and springs 43" on center.

so, close but not exactly a bolt in.

IIRC only the six cyl 5th Aves came with 7.25.

It's the "second best" axle swap for an A after the 65-67 B body 8.75.

Previous owner put an FMJ 8.25 in my 65 Barracuda. Tag says 3.55, but I'll believe that when I pull it out to swap the 8 3/4 in. The amount of cobbelry that they did to this poor car is just :BangHead: . They didn't move the perches, hacked in the shock mounts from the FMJ car. When I pull it out, I have no doubt I'll find bubble gum and baling wire somewhere in the mix! :realcrazy:
