Have limited experience diff shopping, but this came up. I have a 71 Duster 360. Would this set up work? Seller doesn't know....

How on Earth would we know? That's a narrowed rear end made to fit a specific car whose frame rails are the same width as those leaf springs. But to answer your question, yeah, it'll fit. You gotta make it fit. Make sense?

With those wheels & tires I'm sure you would. Might fit it in with different wheels.

Simplify your life.
You need a A-body 8.75" differential housing and a Center section with gear set to match your needs
None of these items come cheap anymore. Used, unknown, complete, average around 1000-1500 if it includes axles and brakes. If the Center section is new you can expect to pay 1200-1600 for that alone. So, complete and in new/rebuilt condition around 2500 bucks including brakes

Thanks for the advice. It seems to be slim pickens where I live in Regina. Too heavy to ship. so I'll keep looking locally and hopefully I will find one. I did find an earlier cone type sure trac, but the diff was disassembled and left outside, so I passed on that one. was a 3.55 gear set in it.

@oldkimmer and @Max1196 both are in Saskatchatoon, they may be able to help locate one.

I’m in Alberta and have all that too. And complete disc brake conversions. And many other parts as well. If you can’t find locally I can probably help you out. Shipping via ace courier probably isn’t as bad as you would think.

You know what should happen(but will get shot/shut down) is a sticky with all the false bs out there. Elec ign wiring axle charts, etc etc.
This chart is dead ******* wrong....

That Pile of **** has fucked up more rear axles for a body cars than a blind guy with a cutting wheel and welder

If you want to stay small bolt pattern, your choices are limited. BBP, 66-67 B body is the next best 8.75 rear, followed by the 68-70 unit.

Better data for rear axle lengths, etc.

Thanks! I will give you a shout if nothing closer to home shows up. I like the idea of discs in the back!.

Ah say, ah say, ah say son...
Get ahold of Cass at doctordiff.com. He will set you up right, and you should just forget about that sbp bs.
