I bought a NOS Radio bezel sight unseen for my ‘69 Dart thumbwheel radio using the factory 69 parts manual as a reference for the correct part number.

I was surprised to receive a bezel with the correct part number 2864525 on it but has a 3 hole mount instead of a 4 hole mount like my original bezel.

Does anyone know why there is a 3 hole and a 4 hole mount bezel? I’ve never seen the 3 hole bezel before.

Here’s the original 4 hole bezel in my car.

My 69 also has 4 mounting screw holes.
IDK what you have there.
Long shot... maybe the Australian, right hand steering bezel is different?

early and late production
3 is an early i believe, i also think it fits 68

My factory '68 parts book shows that bezel as being for a LL (Low Level) Dart. It shows 2864514 as being for a LH, LP, and LS Dart. Maybe same as for '69?

This is the 2864514 which makes sense as on higher level cars have the dash trim on the glovebox.

Funny thing is that this bezel is a 3 hole mount surrounding the radio too.

Looks like you need to drill a hole in the middle and call it a day. Just curious, what's wrong with your old one?

Oh.... you are talking about 4 screw holes . I thought this was about the face openings . Interesting .
