Ticking 2007 5.7 Hemi

It may not hurt to pull the valve cover on the side you are hearing the tick just to check and see that all the rockers are lifting the same. The work truck I mentioned above developed a tick the boss just thought was the exhaust again until it started missing. I found one of the heads off the pushrod broke off

If it still goes away after the engine's warmed up I'd say it's still the manifolds unless you're 100% sure the studs haven't broken again. Iirc reading on some of the Ram truck forums, factory has issued an updated bolt/manifold design to correctly fix the problem, just within the last 2-3 years. Better late than never?

Brand new studs both sides with Remflex gaskets, Not hearing the ticking in the front fender wells. The most pronounced when I am under the truck by the oil pan......it's not a rod knock. LOL...I know what those sound like.

Oof, might be time to pull valve covers then. Although I agree with others, it's rare for a pre-2009 Hemi to have lifters go bad. They tended to have issues with valve seats dropping out, if anything.
