....had to get up at 4 this morning. Our 83 year old neighbor, Leroy, is going to have his arteries cleaned out...and perhaps a stint put in. At least he thinks that's what they are going to do to him. He does not like asking people for favors. We ran into him a few weeks back and he made mention of having a problem, that he needed to be at the hospital at 5:30 for his "procedure"...and that his wife Liz would need a ride home to take care of their dog. He did not even finish telling us and Ernie playfully razed him...
Leroy is pretty much the only neighbor we speak with, hell, he is pretty much the only neighbor we know here...other than the drunk, wife abusing old bastard down the road. When I was up here checking the area out every time he saw me he stopped and told me jokes.
He is a retired FAA Inspector. And one of those folks who just has to be doing things. He restored and old horse drawn carriage..now he is working on restoring some wheels for a wagon of sorts. Really hope things go well for him today....

Wish him well for me. I used to maintain GCA RADAR in the Navy. The FAA occasionally flew into Miramar and flight checked the RADAR with a DC-3

All went well, sort of. Had a complication of sorts. Was a very long day, was not discharged until 6p.m. or so. Leroy called today to set up our next "date"...he has to do back and have some more cleaning done, heard the nurse telling him that he has severe cardiac something or other.

Glad he's doing pre emptive istead of waiting. You're doing a good thing Doug. PS thanks for the help with Rusty!
