Soon to be 3 years since I had it out. Drag Truck I mean. "Drag Truck" as in it was drug through the snow out of a field. Made it down the full 1/4 at 13.08, 1/8 mile was like 8.23 or something. Been just sitting. Like to move the needle to the 7's in the 1/8 and 12's in the 1/4.

I'll be watchin!!!
Got some stuff roll'n, but more to do. Got some slicks & rims, going to replace the chinese intake with eddy, so it should be an all American motor. Need to get the drive shaft loop on. Few other things I need to gather

Great results for what's done
To be honest, i haven't had much time to work with it. Got it to run decent out of town then got to make a pass at the track. I'm sure the gas is all tarnished now....

What is your trap rpm at the moment?
Honestly, been too long since I ran it so I don't remember. But I know it was up by my shift point somewhere... wasn't much left. I don't even remember where I shifted it at, I think 5400 or 5500 but I could be wrong.. lol

Just placed another order.... man this stuff is getting pricey ... It's almost pricing me out of the game...

What upgrade items are you trying out first?
bunch of little stuff, it will all be installed before I go to the track. Going to slicks so I can launch harder, Eddy intake (this has bigger runners and made in America!), new header gaskets (leak at the driver's head), Probably upgrade to 3/8 fuel line, Tranny shifts on the slow side, so I'd like a shift kit. I pulled this tranny from a truck going to the junk yard, did nothing at all but throw it in drag truck. LOL I would like to put extensions before the mufflers, right now it's got the muffler bolted to the collector. And who knows what else... Just a bunch of stuff that I did to get it going but never returned to the project... LOL

I think it would be interesting to see what kind of time improvement you would see if you added some removable plate exhaust cutouts and did a before and after run. In spite of everything you see about “necessary back pressure (or as I like to call it, pumping losses),” everything I’ve had always ran better uncorked.

You'd probably get those numbers just from switching to a weld drag lite or lightweight wheels

It now has factory white steel rims with poverty caps. Trying to keep the farm truck look (Grandpa's truck ... lol). However, the slicks will be mounted on aluminum slots
