Tips for using the preval sprayer?

Some paint damage occurred in our winter storm so I'm going to be painting a few spots on my car. All on the passenger side, paint was worn down to bare metal in a couple spots smaller than the size of a quarter, other than that the paint damage is about the size of a softball in the worst spot.

I'm going to be using a preval sprayer and some acrylic enamel that was made up at napa. What tips can you guys give me? I have only ever painted things with spray cans before. This will be my first time having to mix with hardener. I am going to prime with rustoleum zinc rich primer.

I tried using one of those once, didn't work out too well for me...

becareful about using rustoleum primer, its an oil base paint and my not be compatible with the acrylic enamel. best thing to do would be ask the guys at napa what primer they recommend for that paint and use it.

That's what they recommended, I'm actually friends with a couple guys at NAPA so I trust their judgement. Also I think all the spots I painted have already been repainted in the past anyway. I painted the car monday, yesterday after 24 hours it looked fine, haven't seen it yet today because of the snowstorm (the car is stored inside though). I'm gonna wait a week before I try to blend in the spots by hand buffing.
