Do you guys see any problems using a 205/60/15 tire on a magnum 500 series crager and on a 15 x 7" rim or am I better off using a 15 x 6 rim. This will be on a 69 dart. It has 205/70/15 on it now on a 15 x 6 cop rim. The rears are going to be on a 15 x 7 magnum rims with a 245/60/15

That combination will work fine, personally, I would go with a narrower front rim, like a 6 inch to keep your tracking narrower, but not a big deal. Do you have a disc brake setup up front?

Yes ...lbp and disc brakes up front

Ok, yeah it's going to track a little wider than, probably want a 6 inch wheel or less up front, I'm running a 4 1/2" on my 69, with a 185/80/15 but you would be fine with a 6" wheel
What are you running for the rear .... was going to go 255 but I think the 245 would be safer ....with the 185/80/15 ...does she sit lower on the front. I'm hoping to get a slight rake with the rear just a bit higher then the front. If you had pics ...it would be great to see your ride.

Sorry my bad, there 165/80/15 should sit same height it's a 25" tall tire, I'm running 275/60/15 Nitto out back, mini rubbed, springs moved inboard

I have 215/65R15's on the front of my 69 mounted on 15x7 rims. They fit comfortably even with the front end down a little bit. If I had it to do over again, I might have gone with 15x6's on the front.

All factory cop wheels are 15 x 7... I don't care for a 15 x 7 wheel on the front of an A-body , I think it sticks out too far. A 15 x 6 or 15 x 6.5 works much better on the front.

So what did you decide to go with?
How big of a tire can i fit in back ?
69 dart here, factory discs in front, large bolt pattern. Stock height in front, leaf springs in standard position. The lip of the rear wheel opening has been flattened inside.
I have 15 x 6 for the front and 15x7 for the rear. Factory steel wheels that were powdercoated and will get poverty caps.

Still have not got to fitting the wheel and tire under it. The wheel sizes you list sounds good , does the 15 x 7 have a 4 1/4 backspace. That is what I think will work with a 255-60-15 tire. I will check my front tire size , I am running a 15 x 6 steel on the front of it.

Im not sure about the backspace on the 7 incher. The fronts are 15x6. The wheels are at my storage.
I wanted to go with the Mickey Thompson tires, so i have to pick one of these sizes.

I went with 245/60-15 bfgs for the rear. Jgs was out the Mickey T's.
I'm trying to decide on the front now as I have my k member and all the front end stuff together.

Have the 245-60-15 on back and they fit great. The front is 205-60-15 on 15 x 6 rims and has a slight rake ....worked out exactly how I wanted to look.

205/70's hit the front wheel lip on my car. I've run 215/60's (work. Best on 15x7's), 205/60's (work best on 15x6's), 205/65's, 165/80's, 215/55R17's.

I've read of people using 225/60's with 15x7 cop car wheels on all 4 corners.

I like the 17" charger steelies only because I work at a tire shop and 17" burnout tires are way more popular.

The front wheels are 15x5.5.
I am looking at the BFG 215/70-15. They have a diameter of 26.9 which more or less matches with the back 245/60-15 at a diameter of 26.60.
The 15x5.5's have a back space or 3 1/2" and I am mounting them on a 73 Duster K member and 11.75 disc set up. I'm not really sure how the car will sit when its on the ground. As everything is new, rear leafs, qa1 uppers and lowers in the front.

Will the 215/70-15's rub in the front with the 15x 5.5 wheel with 3.5" of backspace.
Hopefully 72blunblu will chime in, he seems to be the A body wheel expert !

I tried 215 70 15 on my 69 dart and they did catch the front of tje fender. ...the 205 60 15 worked great

SB69GTS I see you are running the 245/60/R15's in the rear, do you think a 255/60R15 will have enough clearance on a 15X7 rim with a 4.125 back spacing.
