Actually im looking at tire sizes. If you could post pics of your tire sizes and please post the sizes. I can look at them online all i want but a better visual is tucked under the car. I cant decide if i want to go tubed or not.:sign2:

If you are going drag racing nothing beats an inexpensive mini tub and relocation. Tire is a 30/11.50/15 on a 15x12 prostar I might try to lower it a bit. It's still missing about 150 pounds in the trunk: Battery, fuel, fuel system

Here is more of a stock mell set up. 235-60-14's. Could go to 245 or I think 255 with a rim with the right offset.

Here is the thread you want to look at. Its been done.

The only problem w/ that thread is there's hardly any good pictures of the tires and how they fit. Too many photos from 10 or 15 feet away of the whole car. The pics that Crackedback just posted really show how wide the tire is and how the stance is - we need closer pics and more of the actual fitment in that other thread.

Those are bad a$$.

This may be a stupid question - I've never drag raced, so i don;t know... If you decide to get tires like that, what do you use in the front? I assume that tread wouldn;t be too good up front on a street car. Do they have a matching sidewall tire w/ a different tread pattern to match up front?

You didn't say what kind of car, but here are 275/60/15s. No tubs (mini or otherwise) no air shocks, and springs haven't been moved

Nope. But they do look like they have a lot of arch to them don't they. They're some HD replacements I bought off ebay

Here's a pic from the side.....sort of. Drive is also a little down hill right there, and I've also raised the nose a bit since then

This is about what im looking for maybe alittle bit bigger ????

i think a 325/50/15 is all you can fit with a minitub and spring relo(atleast in a dart bodystyle)...and its plenty wide enough too....looks mean seein those meats from behind (I am obsessed with tubbed cars- tub it and its cool in my books lol)

What car you are working on would help.

Darts are tougher to fit than Demons/Dustres/Dart sports because of the lack of wheelwell radius.

You'll have no problem getting a 315 or 325 under the car with a minitub.

I think I'm going to run 315/60/15 Which is about 13.5 section width and 30" tall. Sometimes you have to trim the front edge of the well when using 30" tall tires. A friend has a 71 Dart with 315/60 MT's on it and he had to trim the front edge.

One nice thing about having a car that can hold a big tire... it's much easier to go the other direction. Big to small, can't go the other way.

255/60-15 on 15x8 rims with 4.5" of back space. Stock spring location stock wheel wells and XHD leaf springs.

Its a 72 scamp. Im looking to get the biggest tires i can get that dont require alot of diggin and cuttin. Mini tubs wouldnt be bad to put it but not real crazy about having the rearend narrowed. But since i have to upgrade the rear anyways it might just happen. Thanks for all your pics.

Here is my Dart Sport with 325/ 50R15 MT ET Streets on back, and 165 R15 Metric Radials on front.

I'd like to see some on a 72 dart. although I think I might try to radius the rear wheelwells when I do the bodywork. I'd like to see something between a 255 and 295 50/15 or 50/16, not looking to go taller than 28 or 29 inches.
