I've just installed 14x5.5" wheels on my 63 Dart 170. It originally had a 13" wheel. Anyway they rub if I'm turning and hit a bump. So can I temporarily tighten my torsion bars for now to gain some clearance? I think I'll eventually need new ones, but I don't have the time or money right now to do it right.

Jack it up and support the chassis with stands for safety. You want to take the weight off the suspension. Try 2 or 3 turns and see if it helps. They are fine threaded bolts so you don't get too much with a few turns. Be careful and be safe. tmm

Ok will do. My car is a little uneven too. So I guess that'll help that problem a bit too. I will measure first, and keep track of the revolutions. I'm gonna PB Blast them for a few days before I attempt it.
