To prime or not?

My 69 Dart with stroked 340 has been in enclosed trailer for 8 months. I have moved to Maine and am about ready to take out of hibernation. Have finally got shop close to ready. Do you think I should prime the oil system or just fire her up from this deep sleep. Thanks Kevin.

I would prime it for sure, that way nothing is starved for oil or lubrication on the next start up. I always prime my racecar before firing it up the first time after it's winter nap. To me, it's just good insurance to have the peace of mind. So far it hasn't failed me & I've never seen any oil starved bearing.
