I can't really do much to the car, but I did take some pics of the body work that still needs to be completed... I'm really not looking forward to the back window work.

this is the drivers side floor... it's the only place that rotted, the other side is just surface rust.

These would be at the bottom of the back window...not too happy about doing it.. but there really isn't much to do on the body except little dings and this.

Got a B-body 8 3/4... 54" tube flange to tube flange. It's close.. Gives me an excuse to buy new wheels.

axles are a bit rusty, they're soaking as we speak, hopefully the rust remover stuff I bought will help, if Not may have to send them to get tanked.

HOLA...

So I haven't posted in this thread for a while. So I thought I would update a little bit.

I decided to ditch the magnum heads and play around with the 596's that I had just to save some money. The next engine that I have built will probably be a stroker, so for now this will work.

Took it to the grudge races last night. Arm drop 1/4 mile but no times. 40 miles one way, threw a rod bearing on the last run. Drove it home without an issue rod knock comes in at about 2000rpm. :banghead:

Haven't posted in a while. So I have an update for yas...

So back in December I tore apart the engine to find the culprit/s.

This was the main problem. It seems like something got in there and just toasted the bearing. This was the worst one. But it also destroyed my cam bearings as well.

I didn't get a picture of the mains.. But it seems the previous builder put the main bearings in wrong... They installed the Grooved side on the caps instead of the block side. So they ended up blocking the oil passages through the block. Every single main was this way.

I am surprised that the engine lasted as long as it did. Of course the engine never really saw RPM above 4500 untill I put it in the car, even then it lasted just over a year.

Either way I aquired a different crank, had the rods resized and rebuilt the entire engine this time. Heads were done just a few months ago so they're still good.

Congrats on motor install, sounds great. Good luck on the body work. Just take your time and keep your head up. Doing the bodywork on my ride got me down a lot.

Well, I haven't been on in a while, been busy with the new house and all that jazz. But here's a couple videos

Not much to update...Life has taken over. But there is little bits of progress

Good thing is.. the new garage is huge compared to the old one.

Doing body work, saving for a new wiring harness and paint. If all goes well, MAYBE just MAYBE i'll be able to drive it again during hot august nights here in reno next year. We'll see.
