I had been thinking of this for some time. Today I bought a cheap "kegerator" and pulled 2x CO2 bottles, the regulator, and tubing. I had already put a tire valve in a soda lid, and it turned out I just needed to pull the Schrader valve out, and clamp the tube to the soda bottle fitting. Here is the gist:

I don't like zero or diet soda, but I'm not supposed to have (much) sugar. So I buy and dilute 1 "sugar" to 2 or 3 diet to "break the taste." Of course the damn things leak, and pretty soon at least part of them are flat

I do that to recarbonate soda water for drinks. I bought a soda cap adapter, stainless steel, that goes on the bottle. Then a quick disconnect that goes on the SS lid. I squish the bottle in until the liquid is near the top. Then connect, turn upside down and shake as I do it. Works good.

I use Stur. It's a non sugar sweetener that tastes pretty good. No carbs no sugar.....totally safe!!!

Not so fast.
Stur brand water enhancer uses Stevia and fruit juice.
Then there is Stir brand sweetener, which also uses Stevia.
Not all Stevia is equal (no pun intended).
Research is showing Stevia is a diuretic and can cause dehydration and kidney problems. It has also shown it can interfere with metabolism and certain medications.

Del, use monk fruit extract. It's more expensive than sugar, but tastes actually better and actually lowers blood sugar, but get the kind that has no sugar alcohol (erythritol). I get ours off Amazon.

Thanks for the comments. I have done a certain amount of "taste testing" with sweeteners and my jury is "still out"

I've been using Stur for years, never had any issues at all. One squirt equals 1g of carbs. Made from Natural Stevia leaf extract. I have kidney desease and my kidneys have not decreased in function for years. My kidney desease started before I found stevia. My kidney specialist tells me that my kidneys are just fine but have lost function with age. Not eating "sugar" is actually good for your kidneys so if stevia helps keep sugar intake "down" then my kidneys will benefit. You have to pick your poison!!!!!
