Torision Bar Adjustment

Hello There.

I want to raise the front end of my Dart.
Can I smply crank on the front torision bars? How much height can I gain?
Is there any special procedure or do I just take weight of the wheels and start turning?

You can crank em as high as they'll go. But you're gonna throw the alignment off when you do it.

Hello 67dartgtconv, Leave the vehicle on the ground when adjusting the torsion bars. After doing the adjustment, bounce the vehicle several times and then measure height for side to side level.

As far as how much height can be gained, all vehicles are different. It depends on how high the torsion bars are already.

Also, as cuda67 says, vehicle will need an alignment ASAP.

Any particular reason you want to raise it? Alignment will definitely be necessary.

The first thing an alignment shop would do would be to make sure the ride height is correct. All adjustments are based off of it.
