Torque Converter for 6.1 Hemi 904 Trans

Hi,
I am starting the process of installing a 2006 6.1L hemi into my 1973 Dodge Dart Swinger and I am planning on using my existing 904 transmission that was previously rebuilt for use with the built 360 I had in the car. I have not been able to find much information on the correct torque converter to use in this setup. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks

You can use your current 904 convertor, if it is neutral balanced- if it's not, remove the balance weights.
You just need the correct flexplate, such as this one from Bouchillon:
Flex Plate (A727 / A904, Hemi Gen3) - Bouchillon Performance Engineering
If it needs to be SFI certified for racing, ATI has this:

I run a 3000 in the 904 in my son's Scamp. It is cammed 6.1, but, could use a little more convertor. 3.91 gear. I think a 2800 to 3000 would work well for you, depending on gear.

I appreciate your response and info. I will be putting a comp cams stage 2 cam in the 6.1 I have. My dart currently has 3.23 gear in it.
