Torque Converter Rubbing

I just got my 904 Torqeflite back from the shop after a rebuild. I noticed that if I push the converter all the way back into the tranny it rubs very slightly against the pump housing. I'm hoping that this is normal and the converter will pull forward enough when I bolt it up to the engine to clear. Is this the case?

Usually after the tranny is bolted up, the TC is pulled out of the tranny and towards the crank, about 1/8 to 1/4 inch. Normally

all true, all will rub if forced back. They suck up to the flexplate.

Yes, that's what you'll experience. You will be sliding the converter forward to bolt it to the flex plate when you install, Don't worry, your good.
