Torqueflite filters

I had to replace the gasket on my trans I figured while I was under there and its open I might as well replace the filter too. I looked them and there are a half a dozen to choose from . Fram wix ati atp stp etc etc.are they all the same ? Which one offers the best protection in yalls experience? I think I put a ati in it when I went thru it.

I have used Wix, Fram, ATI, and ATP. I switched to a good gasket and make sure your pan rails are flat and straight. LubeLocker LLT-A999 LubeLocker Transmission Pan Gaskets | Summit Racing

Oh I saw them I just didn't know they were brass

ordered some parts for my 727 from A&A and they said not to use the brass filter on a street car, they flow great, but do not filter as good.

I found a nos mopar set on ebay and it says on the box to change your filter every 6000 miles. Holy crap i never knew that lol I bet all my vehicles combined (with torqueflites) I have over 500k miles plus and have never ever changed one until now.

If you keep your transmission serviced regularly, the brass filters are fine. It's those that don't change fluid very often that will run into trouble, because the brass filter can suck up more debris. Most hot rodders keep their **** well maintained. That's why I recommend the brass filters.

Back in the day, 12 months/12,000 mile, which was overkill in my mind. Good money maker for the shop.
