I see there isn't a section here on abody T bars. Whats the difference on the /6 889/888 & the 891/890? Can we make this a sticky?:p I didn't know there were different /6 bars

This car had no air that the bars came from. It was a plane jane 75 valiant 4dr /6 & still small bolt

Thanks for the info,I didn't know they changed bars for A/C

OK,now I'm confused. The 890-91 bars I had were out of an original 75 dart 4dr non a/c stripped down model but are actually V8 bars? I pulled them from the car myself & it was never mod'd. Yes @ Meridian

Does the even number go on drivers or pass side?
R and L in Moparspeak is looking at the car from the back as you would see it while driving so yes, even on right. And notice how the larger "new" MP bars are not clocked to a L or R side? Does that make them not prestressed? Maybe the diameter doesnt require the pre work. but thatll play screwey on the LCA position?

Interesting. My 68 barracuda was a 318 2bbl non AC broadcast sheet specifies 893/892 torsion bars.

Factory bars are clocked 30* on the hexes, so there is a left and a right. Most aftermarket bars 1" or larger are not clocked at all, so they can be installed either way (the first time).

The 30* clocking was necessary for preload. When you double the spring rate, as in the case of 1" or larger bars, you don't need it anymore because the spring rate is high enough that it doesn't require the extra preloading. Most of the aftermarket bars do sit the car a little lower than factory, but that's usually a good thing.
