TPPD 70 Duster.

I was taught long ago, no matter how good the deal….NEVER pay asking price, so I didn’t.
Youre probably the type of person who damages a package at a store then want the manager to give you 10% off.

Pls, never respond to a For Sale ad from me. LoL.

Where’s the pic of the bracket bolted up?

Took the picture and forgot to post it. Been working like hell and finally got the “new” 440 on the stand and tore down.

Did I miss something? I feel like I missed something.

So it bolted up perfectly? Looks like it.

The “new” 440 is the blue grease ball in the corner of the garage for the dart.

It bolted up with no issues at all, actually it bolted together way smoother than the factory Muncie bracket came off.

I knew what the “new” 440 was. It sounded like you and go fish had beef. Which is what I thought I missed. I’m stoked the bracket is going to work out.

Not that I’m aware of. Never had a conversation with him before to my knowledge. Maybe he’s having a bad day or having fun, either one doesn’t bother me much.

Project is allegedly on hold while I focus on the dart. Did sneak some more parts into the ole garage. MP tach drive distributor nicely mocked up on the garage motor. Most importantly. A833 good-ness. It appears the bracket that @TT5.9mag copied from an original vertigate bracket is perfect. Once again Mike is the hero for my oddball dreams of how to put my cars together.

If they didn’t sell gold velocity stacks with vertigate shifters and slotted mags as a package deal in 1971 they really missed the boat.

The shoe-string budget a833 swap is gaining some traction. I know I know, need to put the dart together but sometimes good stuff just falls into place. A Vertigate shifted A body 833 wouldn’t be possible without @TT5.9mag and @Bobzilla

Rods/levers rolled in today after a copy of the shifter mount travelled to Illinois. Bell-housing showed up a couple weeks ago. Back to the dart for now.

It’s starting to come together! I see a trans swap happening in the near future.

Tell me more about those rods/levers! I want a set!

Guy on eBay makes them. He wasn’t able to since he didn’t have a bracket for an A body a833 and vertigate. @Bobzilla loaned me a bracket, @TT5.9mag copied it and I sent one to the guy. He now can make them and sent me a set of rods/levers in trade for the bracket. I have his contact info if you’d like it.

That pic is kick ***! Reminds me of 70s pro stock stuff.

doesn't the lower rod have to have a curve/kink in it to go under the trans crossmember?

Yes, that was something that was discussed. There’s going to be some trial/error and fitment this was just a practice run. I have a cross member and mount somewhere around here to mock it up and see what needs to be done. If I can do a small notch in the crossmember I’m just going to do that and not stress over it.

I’d rather have a notch in the crossmember and a straight rod if that’s possible. Put a bend in the rod and it will invite flex into the equation.
