That's a 727 casting number, but it's not the transmission ID number. You'll find that stamped on the pan rail somewhere.

It's newer than 1974 where my books stop at the 3743XXX numbers.

That’s on the tail end of trans can’t see serial # have any idea where that #s are can’t see because of headers
