:?: Can anyone tell me if this trans is a 727? There are numbers on the D/S of the housing, approx 2" high, 753-5. The trans is approx 35" in length. It came with my car when I bought it, and the previous owner told me it was a 727TF. The 904 I'm removing, broken-no reverse or 1st or 2nd, has 904 in the same area? maybe I'm having a blonde moment (no offense intended!!!).

....rofl. no offense to anybody... but if it says it that big on the transmission, thats like asking somebody if they have the time while standing under a 30ft tall clock..

excuse me...... :salut: :!: :silent:

the 904 is clearly marked, why would a 727 be marked 753-5?

I know my 727 says "A-727" (or something like that) on the side. Pretty sure it's the passenger side.

Yep, mine too...right on the front housing, big letters/numbers too. i don'tknow why yours would be different.

Well, I checked the trans last night, on both sides of the housing, in BIG numbers: 753-5. The pan is a 727 though. Damed if I know!
