Has anyone seen Trans-Siberian Orchestra? They are coming to town November 20th and thinking of going.

I saw them years ago. It was ok but I felt like I was having a seizure from all of the flashing lights.

I've seen them.... it's quite the show. Intense light show and some very strong guitar riffs. Not for the weak of heart :D

Yea take your meds. Mushrooms would be the prescription of choice, consult your local street corner pharmacist. It’s a great show.

Seen them twice. Rock concert with a Christmas theme. Loved them

Yes, saw them. Highly recommend. Like others have said, unbelievable light show combined with outstanding music.

You won't be disappointed.

I was a huge Savatage fan before they morphed into TSO.

I posted in the other thread about the Charvel guitar on one of their tour shirts.

I met Jon and Criss Oliva (RIP) at a very small bar in Dayton OH, in the Hall of the Mountain King era.
They were the nicest people. I spent the most time with Criss, helping him wind cords and pack up equipment.
IMO perhaps the most underrated guitarist of all time.
His style was very unique. They were really "groove metal" way before Pantera.
That meeting added to the inspiration for me to buy a guitar very similar to the one he used that night.

After Criss' death in 93 they started using that guitar on merchandise in his memory.
That made the transition to TSO, and they even still play "Hall of the Mountain King" at TSO concerts.
Shortly after I saw them, Savatage added Christopher Caffery as a second guitarist.
He still tours with TSO some years and is with them this year.

As it turns out, my 1986 Charvel model 2 has a lower serial number than any currently on record.
Not just a few digits, but MUCH lower.
I'm sure Criss' guitar was made in the US, but until proven otherwise, I have the earliest made in Japan Charvel out there.

Just got this from Ticket Master
Note the dates, times, locations.
Kirk, Spock, and Scotty must be teleporting them between gigs

They are coming to Youngstown Ohio November 20th. Going to get tickets Friday.

TSO = one of the best concert experiences I ever had. We got nose bleed seats . Before the show was about to start an usher approached us and said they were going to move us. We followed him . All the way to front row seats! I will occasionally listen to there cds. Regardless of the time of year. I still get choked up. Really magical night.

They are so popular and seasonally natured that they have two touring groups., a West Coast group and an East Coast group.

Just like Cirque shows and pedophiles on ice has several shows
