Spline counts are 23 for the lock-up & 24 for the non LU
But mine entered pretty easy...something is not correct... mine TC is from a Cherokee...Spline counts are 23 for the lock-up & 24 for the non LU
Independent of that..I don't think that the tranny staying only on1st is TC problem... or can be?But mine entered pretty easy...something is not correct... mine TC is from a Cherokee...
Or get a "Dummy" lockup converter.Even if u disabled the lock up feature and have a l u tranny u still would need a l u converter. It just wouldn’t lock up.
Does your Jeep converter have a ring gear on it? The reason I ask, the spline count can be different. Also, look at the body of the converter and there should be typically 3 numbers stamped into it. If you can get me those, I can tell you more about the converter. But mine entered pretty easy...something is not correct... mine TC is from a Cherokee...

They are on the hub side(what is called the rear) of the converter. As strange as it may sound, the flywheel side of a converter is called the front. They are on the back of it? Or do I have to take it off?
Im your experience what can occur if I'm using the incorrect type of TC? The car is going front reward looks like ok... the only issue is that is stuck on the first...They are on the hub side(what is called the rear) of the converter. I'm just trying to figure out what converter you have. Others have mentioned the problems that can be encountered with the wrong converter. If you remove it, get the three numbers off the converter and from that series of numbers (typically 3) I can tell you what it was originally used for.Im your experience what can occur if I'm using the incorrect type of TC? Do you have any idea at what speed it will change from 1st to 2nd on a normal acceleration? With the TF2?Forget all this converter talk. You messed up the valve body.
We opened the valve body and we saw that we grind Gov valve wrong15 mph.
The governor valve was ok...We opened the valve body and we saw that we grind Gov valve wrong
Can be the problem?View attachment 1715333818
Another thing we didn't do was to grind the TV valve...The governor valve was ok...

Do you think this is not the problem?Keep looking.
For some reason I don't see this as being the problem. I don't know for a fact that's for sure but still it just doesn't seem like the problem...
