Transmission leak advise

Gaskets? There are many, rubber with a steel core available. Mancini Racing’s are nice. For A-727 or A-158: MRE-737. For A-904: MRE-738.

The absolute, most important thing to prevent trans pan leaks: proper torque on the bolts. I have used many different gaskets with success. Snug the bolts down first. Then 75 inch/lbs., then 150 inch/lbs. Never a leak from the pan. Obviously, the rails do need to be straight.

Rob, after cleaning it a few times and waiting. Looks like it's just coming out of the gasket. Any recommendations on a good gasket.

Glad you found the leak, and an easy fix at that! I really like the thick blue Moroso reusable gasket. Only gasket that I found to seal the pan on my 727. Have dropped the pan 4 times now and no leaks.
