Help...Coan 727/Moroso pan, 2 drain plugs with 7/16 -20 threads. Autometer temp gauge sender with 1/8" NPT threads. Danged if I can find a bushing/adapter. Called Autometer tech...NO. Called Moroso tech...NO! Guess you can sell it and forget it...
Short of modifying the damn $385 pan or forgetting about frying the trans, can anyone give me suggestion?

I just put into Amazon 7/16x20 to 1/8 NPT and the 2nd one on the list popped up - from Glowshift. I can’t link it so do a search on Amazon

Ace Hardware in the plumbing section.

Put a inline temp adapter to your trans cooler inlet. It will give you the same temperture as the pan.
Only do that if you're not afraid what it will say. The temp there is bonkers, it will make most people pucker right up. I have mine right before the cooler, but A&A and Cope say to put it in the pan. Line to the cooler just went through the pump and is the hottest anywhere, but not all the fluid goes through the pump, most runs down into the pan.

I agree with the drill and tap one of the plugs. Would be a cleaner install imho.
