I've been looking all night but cannot find what I'm looking for. I am looking for size comparison pictures between the T56, TKX and T5 transmissions.

I'm going to install a T5, but I wanted some comparison so that I could make the tunnel big enough for "something else" maybe on down the road.

It’s a pretty substantial difference from the T5 or TKX to the T56. The tunnel work isn’t wildly different for the sheet metal, but torsion bar crossmember work required is very different. The T56 requires a lot more space back at the crossmember.

You will also want a T-5 rear tail shaft out of a S-10 to make the shifter land properly in the tunnel, if your not worried wear it lands then you're good to go as is.
No tunnel mods needed for a 67-up A- Body with the exception of the rear crossmember... I think the early A's have no issues either.

Are you using a World Class T-5? Just curious as the housings are the same.. the internals are different.

Yes. It's about a 95 model.

I’ve seen somewhere you can get a mock up, not the TKX though.

Here’s an example.
