Is there clips that hold this trim on?

Bottom trim on a vinyle roof car.

If so can anyone show me a pic of the correct clip?

Or give me some info on how it installs.

Thanks
John

OK, I really hate to give out my sources but go ahead and look at the link below. On page 78, 98 & 90 you see a small little clips with a wire springs on it.

99-8365 I think is the ones I used. I got about 15 of them and threading nuts to go on them. I slipped them on the trim and pushed them through the holes (you may have to drill the holes a little bigger) and installed the nuts on the clips and tightened them, pulling the trim down tight from inside the trunk. It was a perfect fit.

Thanks for the response, will keep this in mind.

When I took mine off there were some round head phillips
screws under the trim.

Does the trim just push over the head of these screws,or is there some factory clips that hold it on?

Would like to do it the way the factory did it.

I took those out because the clips held it alot better and I can remove the trim without preying on the stainless and bending it to get it off the screw heads. And I didn't know if the screws were in too far or out too far. No one will see it but if that's what want knock yourself out. And remember just because the factory did it that way doesn't mean it was the best way. Also the factory didn't have to take it off and on, they just put it on and pushed out the door.

Cool, just trying to see if that is how the factory did it. Not a very good system.

Like your's better.

Were you able to get to all the holes.

I would look but the car is in the paint shop.

Thanks for your help.

Yes I did, but you need to get a nice soft blanket to lay on and have someone give the tools and hardware. Do all the layout first and do a test layout of everything to see how it looks and have someone push the trim or hold the trim in place while you install the nuts. The nuts you get at a auto parts store. Their like the ones that hold the lettering on.
