Any recommendation for a complete battery relocation kit for my 72 Duster? Or separate parts kits for better stuff? Probably do a master shutoff switch mounted in the trunk. Don't have to pass tech anywhere just getting weight to the rear.
If you install a disconnect, get a good quality FOUR terminal one, properly known as dpst (double pole, single throw) and use the smaller terminals to either kill a relay for ignition, or the VR field wiring, or if EFI, you can kill the fuel pump relay. Any of those will prevent "'run on"
Might be a little more than you want to get involved with but I made all my own cable from 2 aught welding cable. Ran the positive and negative cables up through the car. I used two insulated bulkhead connectors so you can bolt/unbolt the cables on either side of the firewall. I used a semi truck battery and a simple cutoff switch through the tail panel.
