Recently bought a beat 71 GTX and the trunk had some A Body stuff in it. I'm trying to figure out what year this cluster is...I know some years had the round knob radio and other years had the thumb wheel....any help would be great!

I'm gonna guess 70-71, leaning more towards 71. Thumbwheels were 68, 69 and some 70 a-bodies, If I recall correctly. The other thing I noticed is the 150mph speedo which was optional. Looks like it would have the push on speedo cable which would be 68 - 75.

I believe by the 2771611 number that it may be an instrument cluster for 67-69 Barracuda, I could be wrong.

Could you order the rally dash in any model? or 340 powered cars only? My 70 Swinger has standard dash and radio not thumbwheel

For Barracuda- could only be a 1967 as this was the only year of rally dash and regular radio knobs. '68- '69 were thumbwheel radio's and '70- were "E" bodies. Might be different with Darts.

If you go to MR G's website (he is out of the plastic rechroming business), it shows that same cluster and lists it as 67-69 Barracuda. I'm not saying it is entirely correct, I was just trying to help the OP identify the cluster.

The speedometer number orientation and straight grain on the woodgrain make it 1969 or later. Or very late 1968 according to some. Coupled with knobs instead of thumbwheel radio controls, it makes it 1971 or later. I'm not sure of the last year of the A-Body Rallye dash.

1971 Is the last year for A-Body Rallye Dash. From my experience Rallye Dash was standard in 70-71 340 Dusters and also 70 340 Swingers.

It's for a 71 demon or Duster... is it for sale?

I believe what you have is from what a previous member has stated, either a 71 duster or 71 demon. A 1970 dart or duster would have been a thumbwheel radio bezel and earlier a body Barracuda has the flasher switch just above the headlite and tripmeter switches. Not exactly sure what years though. Maybe 67 ish.

Good catch. I think all of the Barracudas in question had the flasher switch located above the headlight switch. Did they go to the steering column for 1970? I don't remember, I haven't owned a '70s Mopar in more than 20 years.

Yes I believe that 1970 was the first year for the locking steering wheel and at that time the flasher switch was relocated to the column as well.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, 71 Duster or Demon. This is a shot of a 71 Demon I saw last year, dash looks the same.

67 - 69 Barracuda's have the flasher switch (good catch, I missed that).

Thanks everyone for the replies!! Seems like 1971 is the winner. The cluster and everything else that was in the trunk will be listed on here sometime in November... unfortunately my work schedule makes shipping a hassle, so I only list and ship November till April. Again, thanks all!!!

This is a 1971 Rallye dash. No provision for emergency flasher on left side above headlight switch location. Round radio post holes.

Yup, '71 340 A-body, no A/C, no center gauge option. Looks like you have a Hurst 4 speed shifter, a Dana 60 diff cover, a 90 degree oil filter adapter, and a pair of 340 X heads there in the trunk too.

And a 71-4 B body radio.
