Will the tuff wheel fit a pre 70 A Body?

tuff wheel uses a specific adapter ( quite pricey now )
and yes the adapter i believe will bolt on your early column,but is noticeably
larger in diameter if that bothers you.

years ago I made one out of 1/4" aluminum. since it was closer to the column compared to the stock adapter, I had to remove and slightly bend the turn signal lever to clear. sorry, no pics

Thanks guys, I have the adapter but the Valiant is at the paint shop so I will look it over when the car is back. Soon I hope!

I put a Tuff wheel and adapter on my 67 column. Here's what the adapter looked like the first time I tried it.

Nope, that's not gonna work. So I drilled out a few spot welds and took it apart.

I threw away the lower section and mounted it just using the top section.

When mounted in the car, the gap shown above is not even noticeable. Everyone is busy checking out my leather wrapped Tuff wheel!
