Perhaps a stupid question, but if I wanted to replace the mammoth original steering wheel in my 72 Demon with a Tuff Wheel, are there any mods that have to be done..?

Make sure you have power steering before you do it. If you don't. you will know why they used a large diameter wheel. Leverage...

Ahhh... Didn't even think about that... Ugh, manual steering in mine..

I have manual steering with a tuff wheel from the factory. Non A/C car though. It's not bad

All that tugging with stock manual will make foam loosen around 12oclock position

I have a reproduction Tuff wheel in my Duster. 16:1 manual steering, 275/35/18’s up front and +6.5* of caster. I manage it just fine and my Duster is my daily driver with over 25k miles like that. The reproduction Tuff wheels aren’t soft foam like the original ones were, it’ll be fine.

You certainly don’t need power steering to use a tuff wheel. Regular manual steering is only 24:1.
