Wish i had the dough for a 6.1, they make crazy power per inch. Check out highes engines 426" build. Well over 700 ponies

That looks like a lot of work for only 600 rwhp. Why not procharge and just as much if not more?

Stage 6 guy told me on Facebook that they were building a forged engine for that car and hope to get 800-850 whp on 93 octane.

Keep in mind that the 600 whp was on a bone stock 6.1 with only 8.5 lbs of boost. That's about the max boost level most guys are comfortable with on stock pistons.

Yeah I was looking into the differnt things for a SRT8 challenger before I bought my dart. Seemed like a procharger with 6-8lbs of boost will get you 600 ish and is a bolt on kit. Turbos do have a high potential but for me are still an expensive adventure I know I wouldn't want to be apart of.

What all is forged in the stock 6.1L?

I wonder what fuel management system they used.....

And STILL no easy turbo manifold for small blocks. Sigh...

Nice installation. I think if you're searching for over 800 HP either a huge Kenne Bell blower or turbos.

Personally I think this is a really clean installation, and shows just what good fabrication looks like.

Joe Dokes

I wish some one would start building turbo headers for the new hemi's. heck the other big two have all sorts of turbo headers available:wack:

That Demon now has a Forged 6.1 with Thitek heads and they put it on the dyno .
826whp and 715wtq at 15 psi pump gas.

That's pretty damned awesome! Imagine what it could put down with 20psi and 116 race fuel..... Thanks for the update.

It's so beautiful... The only thing that stops me from installing one is how tight everything is. That car also has an RMS so there's extra room for turbos and fun goodies.
