Hell ya it'll fit! Twins? Nice! We know 3rd gen hemis can fit in an early A. Lookup Tincups build. Downpipes will be a challenge, but removing inner fenders will open up a lot of real estate to work with. Go for it...and post lots of pics!

With a sawzall, sheet metal, a welder, and alcohol anything is possible.

This guy put an elephant in a 62 A body.

You can read about it here.
1962 Valiant Hemi-powered

There is also a member named 65Valiant on here that put a Gen 1 in a 65 Valiant.

Very cool motor. Would like to see your project.

I would say its possible. Just depends on your fabrication skills. There will be a lot of challenges along the way.

...and keep reminding yourself how easy it will be to change the plugs.

No inners...you got 29 inches between the shock braces and they come back off the trans face 8 inches forward and are 4 inches wide. So in a nutshell, if you remove the inners and run a standard shock location, you have a box 29 inches wide and 4 inches deep 8 inches forward of the trans face. Everything else is wide open minus the K frame down under. If you remove the shock brace, its a whole new arena, mount the shocks to the J bars you have to use to support the front end.
