Universal under dash heat and ac

Long story short my heater box and controls are garbage on my 70 dart.

This is not a nice car. This was put together from junk to be a daily driver. It'd maiden voyage was sideways on a no winter maintenence road so expensive solutions aren't in the program.

It is a magnum 5.9 and I am blessed with multiple 94 to 01 rams for parts.

My thought is try one of these universal units and use as much of the underhood truck ac paraphenalia as possible.

has anyone tried one of these?

any thoughts?

Keep in ming this was a parted out car I saved from scrap to be cheap fun.

It will work if you have room.
If the heat only box or Original AC is not there there is a lot of room

At least some of the aftermarket ones are MUCH smaller. I would be concerned--if you have cold wx like we occasionally do, as well as heat, that the AC and heating has enough capacity
