In my first post about the Acell 8 pin HEI module I said how I connected it and my car ran like crap, so I had to pull off the side of the hiway and put the original one back on.
Car ran great again.
I called Holley because that’s who I bought it through.
First they transfered me to a Holley tech, and I explained the problem.
Then he transfer me to another person who answered as an MSD rep.
I told him the car ran so bad that I had to pull over and put the original module back on and the car ran perfect again.
The guy said I have to pay for the return and they will test it.
If it is faulty they will send a new one.
Sounds fairly normal so far, right?
I also told them that this module had no indication that it is an Acell part of any kind, even though the online ad has the big yellow sticker on it.
That’s fine if that’s normal.
I also told them that the packaging looked like it had been opened.
I can’t get over the feeling that someone returned their old one for a refund and that is what they shipped to me.
I’ll mail it back, but I’m not confident about it at all.
BTW, I don’t require that people I buy from be friendly, but just take care of business.
Good thing, because friendly was nowhere to be found.
Actually they acted like I was boring them.
No apology for my troubles, or even a thank you for shopping with them.
If those were my employees they would be looking for a new job.
Maybe my expectations of people are too high.
