Anyone have an opinion on only welding half the circles?

I welded the circles and really didn’t like the look. I wanted a cleaner look so I cut and grinded the entire thing off and ordered it without the holes. But I guess you order it without the holes then you drill holes in it and dot weld it sand it up it would look clean
