i have a 71 plymouth scamp, and it has the 4 lines out the driver side of the tank. i got a free like new tank from member here, and it has one line. am i able to do away with the tube that is in the trunk? i guess all the lines but the one that goes up to the front go into a tube looking thing.

anyone understand?

That's part of the government required evaporative emissions system. I'm doing away with mine. You don't need it.

thank you. i did not think it would hurt anything to do away with, but wanted to mek sure i put all this money into it, and make a time bomb.lol

Just make sure you are'nt going to have trouble with emmissions/safety testing. Some states are very strict when it comes to removing emmissions equiptment.

The gas tank uses different fuel fillers. They also use different gas caps.Make sure your tank is vented correctly. You don't want build up vacuum in the gas tank.
