Some have installed a 5.2/5.9 Magnum small block. Note that one motor mount on a 360 (5.9L) is different than 273-318-340 engines. As mentioned, you need the (hard to find) V-8 steering center link. It drops ~0.5" more than the slant's, almost imperceptible, but needed. The 273 had a factory dent in the oil pan to clear the center-link, so you may need one of those pans, which won't fit a 360/5.9L since the rear bearing hump is bigger. No need to worry about the water pump blocking your timing marks if you get all accessories with the engine. I am just throwing out things as vague warnings. Many posts, so search and read.
