Valve cover clearance

Seeing I'm only going to drive it in nice weather is there some type of a blower motor block off plate ?

With this combo 383, mp valve covers and stock blower motor is there a problem? Should it be this close?

My 440 was touching with finned M/T valve covers. Hd to shave the fins down a touch

saw a post somewhere about a shorter blower motor that will interchange on the a bodies, but haven`t stumbled back on to it yet. facing the same thing in the future ,I`m sure.
if anyone has this info, please share it w/ us.
seems like it was off of an older dodge p/u.

Did anybody have valve cover / blower motor clearance problem when using the mopar performance valve covers?

Do they make a low pro blower motor? I really like the valve covers.

If you want to keep the blower here is an article how to modify the fan to clear.

And here is someone that used a shorter motor.

i just used moroso valve covers with my big block a-bodies. never had a problem with interference. those crappy MP valve covers are too tall in that area and will interfere or be super tight in that area.

In my research on BB A-bodies (future plan 383 in my Scamp) I read that the MP valve covers do have some interference issues. I plan on using stock covers that came on my 69 383.

the small block ones i had in the past hit the damn intake. had to gringd the lip off the valve cover to clear and seal. don't know how MP could sell such junk. they are know for cracking also.

i think HemiMark might have a fix for that.....maybe it was HemiDenny?
