I've got a 74 Duster with a 360 in it. The combo is as follows.

Freshened stock bottom end
Fresh built 308 heads with 3 angle valve job, 1.88 intakes 1.60 exhaust
Factory rocker gear but I do have access to a set of Harland Sharp 1.5 rockers and shafts
Mopar M1 dual plane intake
Edelbrock 1406 600cfm carb
1 5/8" long tube headers going to 2 1/2" mandrel bent exhaust
MSD 6a running a factory electronic distributor
727 with listed 2800 stall and shift kit
3.55 Sure grip 8 3/4 with 28" tall tire

I picked up an old Cam Dynamics 284 H12 cam new in the box from a buddy. I'm thinking on running this in my car while I build the next engine for it. I've attached images of the cam specs for reference.

I'm looking for recommendations on valve springs to run with this combo. I realize my compression is going to be a bit low for this but trying to make it work for now. Also looking for insight on the .480 lift possibly causing interference with valve guides and seals.

Thanks everyone and appreciate any input you can provide.

The Crane .480" lift cam I had did indeed hit the guide with the retainer/lock. Bent push rods and wiped a lifter. I still have the lifter to remind me of what I didn't know. That was with J Heads.

So yes, check for clearance.

I'll be sure to check everything over. From what I've read it sounds like I'll be cutting down the guides.

LS style beehive are going in my 416.

Do you happen to have a part number? Any sort of special prep or machining required to run them?

cut for viton seals

I'm looking for a cutter and mandrel that will allow me to cut the guide height and for the seals as well. Thanks!

I'd recommend buying the Howard's or Elgin springs I have in stock. Bought them for the .480 lift 228 duration cam I used in another project.
