Just fitted new pistons - H116CP sealed power units.
adverised as .027 down the bore and the block is not decked. -5cc valve reliefs.
My cam is the usual XE268H with a lift of.084.
Can anyone tell me from experience whether i am likely to have any clearence issues as this combination is used quite regularly?
I did check this morning and no marks appeared on the modelling clay I used, but i have no performed this task before.
Heads have been lightly cut for flat surface and combustion area is 68cc
Thanks in adance

Tim, I have not been there and done that combo, but, to be honest, I don't think you'll have a problem with that low lifting cam.

.480 right, not .084 right?

You have a ton of room. So no need to worry. Also, you want to make sure you know how far up or down the pistons are. The catalog reference depends on a blueprint spec deck height and unless you asked for it, you probably didn't get it.

Thanks guys, and yes i had the lift back to front! This new laptop I have keeps me making typos!I thoughtit would clear. the pistons are not at full deck height, but pretty close and certainly will give me amuch needed compression boost to suit the combo I have.
