VIN number says 6cyl. but shows as a 318

Look on the top of the radiator core support, on the drivers side, usaully where the factory placed the antifreeze decal. Should have two letters, firts is the engine code, second is the assem. plant code, then the last 6 of the Vin.
 
I am not sure what year your car is, but there is also a VIN stamping on the rear package tray near the driver side speaker opening on 72 and 73. Probably other years too!
 
I am headed Friday to pick up the Duster. I want to thank all who replied to
this post and will use all the good advise. I hope to post some pictures of the begining of my new project.
