By chance, does anyone out there have this on their car and have pictures of their install for reference? I got a whole setup with the wagon I bought last year and its yelling at me every time I got in the shed :/ Unfortunatley the clocks ticking on the nice weather out here. I tried searching the forum but only came up with someone mentioning having to fab a bracket for the compressor. Thanks

Jake

Aftermarket mount kits to put the Sanden/Seltec round compressor on the Slant-6 have been problematic for a lot of years. Most of them (including Vintage, Classic, etc) create problems at the front (wrong beltline alignment, no fan clearance) and/or at the rear (runs into the air cleaner or some other component). Charrlie_S used to have a mount kit that worked, but that was long ago. The Bouchillon kit looks as if it probably addresses all of the problems; if so, that makes it 100 per cent worth the price.

I bought these Vintage Air 151015 Vintage Air Compressor Brackets | Summit Racing
I cut an arch in the lower front mount that matched the water pump and used two bolts on the water pump to mount the bracket, welded a scrap piece of 2" flat bar between the brackets, and made a quick bracket down to the power steering pump mount. Used some 3/4" spacers on the compressor put the pulley dead nuts on line with the crank pulley. Carefull selection of a fan spacer have me proper clearance. Cheap, maybe $80 total, and works great.

What year car is yours? Is that the factory early power steering setup or a later one?

Thanks

Mines a 73 duster, whatever power steering that came stock. If you can use a straight edge, a tape measure, and weld fabbing up a bracket is pretty easy, just gotta do it.
