This is a really neat piece if history that I ran across. I am not even sure what the part is because the box has never been opened. The colors on the box show very nicely and it just looked cool sitting on a shelf in my rec room. If anybody knows what the heck it is I would be interested in knowing.

It is identified as WC repair kit part# 947 580.

$20 plus the ride to your house

Did they use string back in the day like we use rubber seals on our axles and such ?

Wheel Cylinder repair kit, betcha.
I think the top and bottom were tin, but the string is what cuts the paper so you can open it.

Pretty cool.

I think the last time I saw one of those was about 40 years ago.

SOLD- Pending payment

Keep an eye out I am trying to get a few more unopened Mopar parts tins. These are all opened with parts still inside.

Interesting to say the least. I have to wonder if the material those parts are made of would dry rot in a paper box.

Check out the listing for the vintage spark plugs, they are just as cool. (by the way the entire box was tin not just top and bottom on that last part. Wish I wish I had more but my source is holding tight to some of the stuff!
