Vinyl conditioning?

I would like to redye my dash pad for the 65, but I noticed some very small cracks. What would I use to condition and soften the vinyl before I dye it? I read somewhere Nivea hand cream works well. Anyone tried it? Any other ideas?

I wouldn't use anything on it untill you dye or paint it. You want it as clean and grease free from the start. Look up "SEM" products, to make that dash pad look good as new.

I have Colorbond dye. Only gold I could find in a spray can.

Anyone see that rubber/vinyl condition on TV yet (as seen on TV hype) they put it on hazed lights and they look good! Curious.....
