Honestly for a question like this you are better off starting a “fresh” post as the original post gets more attention than your question.

Getting ready to drop a 340 with W2 heads and 509 cam in my 72 Demon. will be 4 speed. Stock bellhousing or Quick Time?

I Dont see any reason to use anything but a stock bellhousing on this build. Back in the 1970’s when I started running 11’s I put a Lakewood bellhousing on my 340 and I spent a week on my back under the car with offset dial pin’s getting it centered. What a pain in the butt. Good luck.

Damn. I was hoping to get some updates on this engine. @Brian Hafliger is building me a 416 W2 headed stroker right now.

I gotta get going on block work...lifter bores are done.
