Wanted: Slant Six Harmonic balancer

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a harmonic balancer to go on my '79 model Slant Six. I'm not sure if there are any differences in the years. Please PM me if you got one! I need one as soon as possible.

I must have accidentally posted in the wrong section. I was a bit tired after work yesterday.

Anyways, yes I need a single groove pulley. The motor I rebuilt didn't have a balancer when I got it. I was planning on using a balancer off of the slant six that I'm swapping my rebuilt engine with in my Valiant, but that balancer was not wanting to come off, plus the rubber was looking a bit deteriorated...so I figured i'd just source a new one.

After some research it looks like I need to find a double groove balancer. After '76 the manual tranny cars had either the 2 groove or 3 groove balancers depending on the application.

Anybody got one?

Most applications used a single-groove balancer with accessory pulley sheaves bolted onto the front (for P/S) and/or the rear (for A/C). Does your car have P/S or A/C? If not, you don't need more than one groove.
 
I don't need the extra groove...my engine does have the bolt to secure the balancer however and is a manual tranny motor.

I'm wondering why Mopar felt it necessary to have a separate balancer for manual tranny cars and trucks?

A buddy of mine had a slant six truck with manual...it had the dbl groove pulley but had no power steering or AC.
 
The bolt is not there to secure the balancer, which is an interference fit on the crankshaft. It's a nice convenience to have if you want to turn the engine precisely with a wrench, that's all.

This really isn't complicated: if no P/S or A/C, then go get one of the new Australian balancers, install it and turn your attention elsewhere.
