Is there any way to tell if this pickup was originally a warlock by the vin#? I know what to look for appearance wise just not numbers wise. I have searched everywhere on the net and can't find anything. Thanks for any help in advance!

look on underside of hood for equipment label. on label look for code GK9***. this would be ideal if label is still present. there's a 50/50 shot of that tho

I have a fender tag off of the one that i junked. its a 79. we could compare...if you want

Ok great info! I will have to take a look in the morning to see if the tag is there, I don't recall seeing it though. So if this tag is gone, am I s.o.l. ?

Pretty much only the build sheet ubder the seat (if there) or the equipment label on driver's side under the hood give the trim package code. That code is the best proof. Mine is missing both, but I found the order sheet in the glove box from when the original owner bought it in 77. I called him and he verified it and the changes that had been made to the truck over the years. So if you don't have the build sheet or underhood label, best bet is to try and track down original owner. I know that is alot harder to do and I got lucky, but there were no records because 76-79 Chryslers archives were closed.
Check out machopowerwagon.com or dodgeconnection.com lots of info on them. And find Warlock by Skip Gibbs. Good book has all the standard and optional equipment codes. Good luck and show us some picks!

So I checked it out today and the tag is gone. I looked under the seat and could see what looked to be a build sheet. Removed the seat bolts and tilted the seat forward to get a better look. The entire sheet for the most was still intact but no code for warlock package. I did find out that it is for sure a factory 440 truck tho. Guy selling it wants way more for it than what im willing to pay so im gonna pass. Thanks for the info guys, its been a learning experience.
