I have a 360 with a (1/4 inch) front motor plate in it, that being said i did not mill the timing chain cover down. ( I know i F up:banghead moving forward from that mistake. Without taking the entire front end off has anyone ever taken a small block water pump apart? Im thinking that I would take off a 1/4 from the entire water pump housing to make my life easier. So has anyone have any tips on pulling a pump apart and or is this idea no good at all?? I need to take the 1/4 back because the motor is running hot now since not close to timing cove. Thanks for your help.
